radiator fan wont turn on help

my car keeps over heating because my radiator fan wont turn on...the a/c fan will work when i turn on the a/c but my regular radiator fan wont turn on at all so my car gets a little hot when im sitting in traffic...any ideas what i should check and what could be wrong? thanks

You have a radiator fan coolent sensor. It screws into the radiator and connects to the fan. Replace this, they are cheap and I bet it fix's your problems.

you could also rewire the fan to be always on. Vfaq.com has a good how too article about this. GOod luck

the fan turns on based on the coolant temp sensor telling it to, which is located at the bottom of the rad, a 2 wire plug goes into it. that is all that turns the fan on.
