On my 90 Eclipse the drivers side window doesnt like to roll up straight. It is a power window and as it is rolling up it tends to rise and go crooked causing it to not meet the top edge leaving a 1" gap between. If I guide it carefully with my hand I can get the window to meet and seal though.

Is there a simple fix someone can explain to me? or at least why it would be doing this? Do I have to take the door apart and adjust the tracking or something??

The only other thread I can find on the topic is here and its not much help

thanks

Check out the VFAQ site - there is a wealth of info there, including this article on problems with the power windows:

In most cases, it's just gunk in the track that is causing the problems - clean out the track & use some silicone lube. :thumb: I've done that to mine 2 or 3 times in the 14 years we've owned the car.

Hahaha, Gromit I went and got that link before I even scrolled down to see what you wrote LOL . To the OP, read through VFAQ it is a great site, and has lots of useful information Ill read through a few articles a day.

oh trust me I am no stranger to vfaq. I actually saw that article a while back but I figured theres no way dirty window tracks would cause the window to come up that crooked. Yet now I will definitely try some lube and check the tracks. Thank you!
