2G manifold crack...need help fast!

So my manifold is cracked, what can I do to fix it? Dont say get a new one....I just got this so im stuck with it for a little while.

It's been on for about a week, im not ready to let my money go down the drain. Getting a new one right now is out of the question.

While I'll admit JB Weld is some pretty good stuff, I personally wouldn't trust it under the extreme conditions an exhaust manifold sees. Everyone's different.

The only true way to "fix" it is to have it welded.

The crack isnt horrible probably a half inch long......and I have yet to come across a JB weld that can stand the heat. I had a crack in my 1g mani and the JB weld cooked right off.

Forgot.......is there any special way for it to be welded without it cracking more, or can I just take it anywhere and have it welded any way possible?

i might get shunned for posting this but i have something that might help you.
it could get you by for a quite a while if done correctly.
the product name i will have to look up again i cant remember right now but they are aluminum welding rods tha you can use with a propane torch or map gas. they have been used many times at a few shops to fix minor cracks in intakes. ill get the name of the product and post it for you.

they are just one place that sells them but there are others as well.
basically it is just brazing but with the aluminum rods they sell, very easy to do.

not a perfect fix but better than JB!

Yeah that looks like it would work really well, but its a little more pricey than I expected.

there are other places to get them at a lower price, i just used that place as an example. the best place to get the rods cheap is ebay. there used to be quite a few of them on there, would be worth checking out.

What manifold is cracked, exhaust or intake?? If its the exhaust then that is cast iron, if it is the intake then that is alluminum. I don't think you can use the aluminum product if its the exhaust manifold because it is cast iron.

ya know thats a good question, i feel stupid! for some reason i assumed he was talking about an intake manifold. and you are right if it is exhaust the alumi-weld wont work.
boy i feel dumb. !
