Hello, im having a problem with my talon starting if you havent guessed already. when turning the key it sounds as if the starter is going back, it makes a sort of clicking sound. Now the odds are, it's not my starter because i just replaced it about 3 weeks ago. I've a new battery and a new altenator that are both less than 3 months old, so it's got power. I checked the alarm, and it's not armed, its the stock alarm system. Now i could have gotten a defective starter, but would have gone out this fast. 2wks ago i had to replace a heater hose and had to remove something off of the firewall to get to the clamp, here's a pic of the black box i had to take off the firewall.

while taking this off the firewall i had to unplug a plug, and when i put it back on, i forget to plug it back in. could this be a problem? here's a pic of the plug

its the plug on the left side of the picture near the bottom.
i feel stupid for not knowing wot that box is, sorry :/

if anyone knows of any other reasons that could make it not start, im open to suggestions. like i said it sounds like when my old starter was going bad. i hope this brand new starter isnt bad already.

more pictures could be taken if needed. thank you for your time and i hope my car is up and running soon :/

The clicking sound..
Check out your relays/fuses.
Possibly your ECU too.
Check the connections on your battery, and your starter, and the grounds.

ok, i couldnt wait until the sun came up, so i took a flash light and went lookin at the fuses. there was only one that was labeled ign and it was connected directly to the battery. It was still good. the other fuse box didnt have anything labeled as ign on it, but i checked out the fuses and they were all good anyways. then there's the other fuse box in the back right side that was labeled to contain alot of the a/c things. i also checked the grounds that came off the battery, and the firewall, and they were all secured tightly.

Well, i figured it out... :thumb:

Somehow whenever i was messing with the heater hose, i must have tugged on some wires and caused the ground wire on the starter to come loose. :beatentodeath:
After a while from movement it must have vibrated off thus ending my ability to start :sosad:

Alass i plugged it back in and it fired right up, thank you so much for your time and help.ROFL
