Has anyone experienced their hatch rattling?

It seems on my car the rear passenger side hatch hinge rattles like crazy when I hit bumps on the road. The previous owner's solution was to wad up paper towel and put it in where the hatch is to eliminate the play, but I want a permanent fix, not a temporary one.

My hydrolics shocks are shot, but my previous Talon's (91 and another 93) had any sort of rattle from the rear when the shocks died.

I'm at a loss as what to do, becuase the bolts that attach the hinge are out of reach from a socket driver.

Any ideas?

you can actually pry the plastic back enought to get a gear wrench in there...you will need to take the trunk cover hinges off because they hold the plastic to the car...
