ok i bought a 1990 talon tsi..are all 90's 6bolt or is it selected ones, and second would it make a big difference for a 2g auto if i put the 90's head on the 2g...

Searching goes along way. The change from 6-bolt engines to 7-bolt engine happened in the third week of April of '92. So to awnser your question yes, all 90s are 6-bolts>>> http://www.vfaq.com/mods/early-late-engine.html. The 1G head flow more in the top-end then the 2Gs where as the 2Gs have more low end and mid range, the runner ports are also larger on the intake side of the 1Gs. There are allot of difference between the 1990 and 1991and up. The throttle bodies, the cruse control, the cams, the transmission and so on. Read the VFaq well.

Guys I only mentioned the different sized manifolds to give the OP an idea of how the 1G has larger intake ports for better high end flow,but smaller exhaust ports, where as the 2G head has better exhaust flow due t larger exhaust ports, but smaller intake ports so more low-end/mid range power. Yes the 1Gs TB is larger then the 1Gs, it depects this in a picture in one of the links I provided earlier. The OP wasnt asking all the differences just the differences of the heads.
