Ok I recently purchased fic 650 injecotors and and a evo 3 big 16g. I also have the walbro 190. My question is, Is it a absolute must to buy a afc to control the fuel? With the 650's and 190 could I just use my logger to see how lean or rich im running and adjust it from there?

When upgrading injectors, you must run some other type of tuning device. SAFC at the least.

You can use your logger to look at whats going on, but how do you plan on adjusting the fuel without an AFC?

Here are some tuning devices I can think of. You can search on them to see which one would work out well for your goals. Some of them can be used in conjunction with each other also.

AFC
AFC I
AFC II
GM MAFT
Keydiver Chip
DSM Link
Mega Squirt
AMS EMS

Like he said AFC at the least. I recently installed the same setup, and the thing drove like a dog until we logged and tuned with the AFC. Before and after tune was a big difference in power. The initial drive was like, ohh god why did I waste all this money, after 4 tunes..I was scared at the power. Buy it used you can find AFc's for like 150 if you search

Ok, I thought I would have to. A couple more questions.. Where I was getting this Idea is cause when I got my logger and with the t-25 you could just look how far you could turn it up on stock fuel I turned mine up to 15-16. So why cant that be done with the added fuel, just turn the boost up till you get it lean like with the stock fuel? Also I wont be putting the injectors on before the turbo becasue of the fuel contro thing so what psi can i run with the stock injectors and the walbro 190?

What do you have your psi set at? Is there a big difference in the evo316g and the big evo316g? Was it relatively easy to tune with injectors that size? Is it easier to tune with a a/f gauge?

I don't believe there is such thing as an big evo316g; there is a big 16g and an evo3 16g.

A/F gauge isn't good for much except as blinky blinky because it still gets its readings off the narrowband o2 sensor. Wideband is where it's at.

There is:

1- Evo 3 16G
2- Big 16G
3- Small 16G

There isn't a Big Evo 3 16G

Edit* As far as tuning what I plan on doing is getting a keydriver chip from dsmchips.com. After that tuning that is needed with a SAFC II is minimal, but is still required.
