Saskatoon,
To make a long story short my dumbshit friend grabbed a DUI and to pay his fines he sold me this beast of a turbo. Its a PTE 6152 with the S compressor housing. With the S housing it's rated for 680 hp. I am spending all winter building my car I already have the full FMIC, 880cc injectors with all the other fuel stuff, Eprom ECU with stage 3 chip,a fully built bottom end that has ALL the maching done and currently I am working on a fully built head. All the other supporting mods will come over the winter. My question is this, is this turbo gonna be too big for me? I want this car to kick some ass at the strip, but be able to drive it on the street every once in a while. It is brand new and I bought it off him for $500 CAN (he gets to drive it down the strip one time next summer:thumb: ). It's rated to spool at 4000 rpm which is pretty laggy. What should I do, sell it or use it? Also I am FWD.

I vote for using it. It's a good turbo that many others here use. With a built bottom end, you can push lots of boost, which is what this kind of turbo likes. With the built head, you can push redline to like 8000rpm or beyond if you wish. This is also a plus for this turbo. You'll like it. Sounds like you made a good buy.

4000rpm isnt that bad considering the size of the turbo...put the 2step on it and get it worked out and you'll be good
