Is this product any good?

Hey I was wondering if this product was any good or if somebody on here actaully has it on their setup. How does the performance compare to the evo3 manifold?

do u have to port the part of the turbo set up that connects to this manifold so they will be equal size or what, since the part of this manifold is also ported on the single hole part that connects to the turbo?

Its always a good idea to port anything you can. That manifold is at a damn good price.

The GT Manifold is ported for a 7cm gasket. If your turbo is ported to a 7cm gasket then it will be of equal size. It all depends on what turbo you buy. If you buy one of those new PTE SCM DualBB units, they come ported to 7cm. If you buy a MHI Evo III 16G turbo, you'll have to port it more to match a 7cm gasket.

-well i do have an evo316g. how do u know if its an MHI one. What does MHI stand for?

MHI=Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. He was referring to authentic mitsu turbo versus the EvoGT knockoff.

I have this manifold, its been on my car pretty long and is holding up really good. I dont know why they say it doesnt fit automatic DSM's, my car is auto and it fits perfect and my friends 1g was auto and his gt manifold fit also.

It doesnt fit a 1g auto that is still using the 13g turbo because of a difference in the turbine inlet. It fits all 2g autos and 1g autos with a turbo upgrade.

i have it,its great, i had to trim the casting edges off but that was me being picky.. the pre tapped egt is cool. and it was cheap and came with gaskets ..

Yea sorry i forgot about that, my friend had a 14b on his 1g when it was auto, he has since then did a tranny swap.
