well i just got a 1992 laser RS turbo, and at first the syncros were bad and second and third gear grinded at RPM's above 3x when shifting. and now when i was pulling to an intersection the linkage broke off, when down shifting from fourth. I'm pretty sure its the linkage cause its deffinetely stuck in a gear that is tough to accelerate in and when its put in neutral it still stalls. but what im trying to get at is this trannys screwed and i needed advice on a decent performance tranny. any takers?

www.teamrip.com these guys did my friends race tranny for his rally car. I believe theyre in Kalamazoo, Michigan. They did an excellent job. I got to drive it a few times and I love it. Shifts crisp clean at any rpm and they also put in a short shift and I believe double syncros.

Either one will be good. I'd just go with whichever is cheaper. Both Shep and Team RIP know what they're doing.
