Ok so I finally went back to 16" rims with 205/55 tires for the time being. These are not new tires/rims they were used by a previous DSMer and are in good condition. I have not got an allignment yet I thought I'd ask here to check if that may be the problem or maybe something else small or big.

All the lug nuts are torqued tight and tightned correctly. As i'm driving and get near 40mph I get a vibration under my clutch pedal from my driverside tire. Or even if I don't have the clutch pedal down it's still vibrating on the floor. The tire also sounds like it's flapping like big truck tires sound like as they are driving around the same speed.

I did some light swiving while going around 35-40mph and as I swirve right I get normal noise and when I swirve left I get the flapping and slight vibration noise/feel. I had a friend drive in passanger seat and he said the passanger tires sound normal. The rear tires are fine driverside also, I don't hear or feel anything different from them either.

Any ideas please toss em my way
Thanks,
-Sean

p.s. these vibrations, noises weren't here with my previous 225/45/18" rims/tires

I am assuming you put stock wheels back on? If you did, did you use the OE lugnuts?

Also, are the tires cupped or wearing wierd? Have they been balanced?

I concur, make sure theyre balanced. You may have a bent rim. Let us know what you find out. If you need I still have my stockers that I dont need that Id give you cheap but shipping might be pricey.

The tires looked great. The one that is making the noise/vibrations is one of the better ones on the car. There was no weird wearing on it.

The tires weren't balanced yet or alligned, by me anyways, I planned on it once i had some diagnosis on the problem. They aren't the stockers, I believe they are the stockers off the Lancer. Zo1 or something like that (the car isn't with me right now to check).

I'll fill you in on the news once i get balance / alligned.

Echo, I may take you up on your offer thanks.
