dumb question about logger cable and software

I have to get some things cleared up. Is this software or what, or just a cable. do u just get the hot sync cable, a palm, and this thing then u will be able to log. im confused.

That just the cable like it says. Youll still need a palm or something to use it.

PS. Make sure you use capitol letters where needed and write out your words like "u" make sure you put "you"** I got in trouble for that.

thanks. So all i would need to get in order to see what my car is doing while Im using the safc would be that cable that I posted the link for, the hot sync cable, and then a palm. Right?

Just search ebay . Datalogger , it should have all you need . May need to upgrade the mmcd version , but there is a link on here somewhere . If you want to save some money, piece it together yourselfl. The cable can be had from ebay for 15.00. You can find Palms on ebay for under 20.00. The Hotsyncs' can be had on ebay for 5.00. The software can be downloaded for free of the net. Worst case you spend $50.00. But probably more like $30-40.

Piecing it together with stuff off eBAY just scream POS that wont work right, I dont get it, you will probably save 30$ but you wont know if it will be working perfe ctly, I would seriously just not be cheap and pay the extra cash for the extra know how.

Where do you guys think all the Palm Pilots in these kits come from? New from the factory? They come from ebay. I still use the first one I pieced together on my 1g, I bought the stuff over 2 years ago.
