redline shockproof

I will be changing all of my fluids and was wondering what redline people were using in their transfer cases and rear ends. All i've been able to find is that a lot of people are reccomending redline shockproof, but they are not specifying heavy or light. i was thinking light, what do you guys think? i am also using, planning on returning to, penzoil syncromesh, does anyone reccomend anything else for the tranny?

Mixing syncromesh and shockproof for the tranny is awesome ,far better than just plain syncromesh imo. As far as tcase and rearend i believe most people use heavy over light shockproof.

I agree, I use shockproof in mt tcase and my mechanic puts it all his stuff. Its supposed to be the ####!!

go with the bad guts, i mean BG Syncroshift, It worked the best in all of the different transmissions that I put it in, but I dunno bout the transfer case or the rear end. It is what im putting in them for my project AWD. I have tried mobile one synthetic and redline, they worked ok but not the best. Royal Purple shrait stinks , it made my tranny crunch a lot more. The Syncroshift seemed like it worked the best, but I have never tried to mix and match any fluids

I used Redline "Heavy Shockproof Gear Oil" (red label) in both my xfer case and rear diff and it works fine.

I use BG Synco II for the tranny and other BG full synthetic gear oil that comes in the same looking bottle... can't remember the name but its neon green in color and smells horrible.

AMS recommended a mix of BG Syncroshift and Redline Light Shockproof for a non freshly rebuilt trans. I have 1 quart of Syncroshift and the rest Light shockproof in mine and it shifts like butter. They recommend a mix of Syncroshift with Heavy Shockproof for a rebuilt trans.
