hey i was wondering what fuel pump i should get. my mods are in my profile so check to see what would be best for me. i dont really want to get an afpr so thats y i dont really want to get a 255 because of money issues. also what would be the difference in the performance with either pump for my setup, or if any? Also what size injectors would be good considering im planning on gettign an safc.
thanks

What are your goals for the car?

If you just want to max out the e316g, then a rewired 190 with 650s would suffice.

well for the future my goal would be to reach at least 300whp. what if i didnt really want to max ou the evo3 right now. would the setup u suggested still be okay because i would be able to control it with the safc

It would be alright if you had a good tune. Its all in the tune.

I would look into dsmlink though. It will make tuning easier and will give you room to grow in later on down the road.

If you want to go bigger later, you may want to consider the 255 AFPR combo.

what would u consider "going bigger" and i would have my local shop tune the car with the safc i buy

If you wanted a bigger turbo setup down the road for more horsepower.

If you are getting the SAFC, you should get a logger so that you can see whats going on. I wouldn't put that much faith in a shop.

yeha thats true. but heres a quick question. How much hp is the stock 14b turbo capable of if I max out the boost right around 16 psi and have all the mods that are listed in my profile.

one quick last question. could i just keep the stock injectors and get 190 pump and tune those 450's with an safc to work well with an evo3, and then later on get the bigger injectors.

The Evo III will easily outflow the stock 450's. Keep the boost low, watch for creep, and definitely get a logger to make sure you're not knocking if you don't have one already. You don't have to tune the stock setup with a SAFC unless you really want to lean it out some.

what would be stock boost levels to run safely with that setup. Also, what is knocking and what boost level could i run if i got bigger injectors without having to tune them with the safc
-thanks a lot

12 would be safe for the stock injectors. But then again, you never know unless you log.

Don't drive your car with bigger injectors unless you have something to tune them with. The ECU is set up for the stock 450s. If you throw something else in there, withought controlling them, your car is going to run extremely bad.

With 650s, you would be able to increase boost until you see knock. (basically, you will get to start tuning.)

I would strongly recommend doing alot of research on tuning before you start doing these upgrades.

Knock or Detonation.

It is basically when the cylinder is running too lean.
It is very harmful to an engine and can shorted the life of it dramatically.

A logger will let you watch for this and a tuning device will let you add fuel to the area that you are getting knock to help reduce it.

EDIT: Here is a link that I found in the DIY section under tuning. It does a great job at explaining knock.

thanks and for a last note, what is a good cheap logger for the money. Im kind of on a budget right now.
