SMIM question?

What mods do you have to do to a 75 mm mustang throttle body / magnus SMIM to bolt up?

I have them both, but I have to find another pipe that will bolt up since it's sits so much lower.

Does anyone sell a pipe for that setup, or what do you guys use?

Where do I connect the throttle linkage to the manifold? and the throttle body doens't have a place for the iac to go on? So would I still be able to control the idle with dsmlink?

I already took the throttle plate off my old throttle body and welded it on to the mustang one, but what else to I need to do to make it work.

Most people find it much easier to use n/t TBs and people have dynoed over 500whp on these.

no,the nt tb is used with the stock intake mani

since you have your smim flangedfor the mustang one..use it.

just fab up a bracket for your throttle cable..no big deal.


u need to change your upper intercooler piping to larger ones (a friend runs huge piping, i think 2.75 or 3 inch,i have to ask)

just get some couplers and get some pipe from a muffler shop.

No he can run 2.5" UICP, all he needs is a silicon coupler that will go from 2.5" to 3"...I beleieve 75mm is what 3"s equals. Also I am looking now, but I remember people using the n/t TB and they have SMIM.

If your going to have custom stuff welded onto your manifold I would just have a custom flange made up to put over the TB hole for your intake manifold, so the n/t will fit nicely with no leaking.

There are a lot of guys using it .. and I saw that someguy had ford pigtails for an iac .... I was a liittle confused and can't remember where I saw that ..

The part that I'm worried about is the iac ..

I could probably get a pipe, but I didn't know if there was a company that already made one ..


I have a 90 degree elbow that I bought that fits on the tb and the end of my piping, but I can't lower the piping the 6" that I need, so I'll have to make anohter one..

Like I said .. The iac is my main problem.

What would be the easiest way to get this to work, even if I had to get another throttle body?

Is there another 75 mm throttle body that will just bolt up, similiar to the stocker?

I'm really getting irritated, so if anyone has a 1g nt throttle body that will bolt up to a 1st gen intake manifold then pm me ...

I'm thinking about just selling the damn magnus smim and throttle body, because I'm sick of my gst being in pieces.
