just recently i came up on a 1g. It has a Hks filter on the intake pipe. It needs replacing so i was curious as to if its best if i just buy a new hks filter or switch out to a k&n filter? any help would be good. thanks

K&N Filters are great products. They can be cleaned as used for a very long time. Not to mention that they're alot cheaper then the HKS name.

Both are washable. However hks flows more and filters out less dirt. K&N, a little bit more restrictive but filters better.
