a friend is giveing me his tsi... but my body on my 4g37 is in better condition... would they bolt up to eachother?

You mean you want to swap the TSI 4G63 into your DL 4G67?

You may be better off doing the body work.

Just some things off the top of my head that you would have to swap.

Whole engine, Tranny and mounts.
Axles
Engine Wiring harness
Possibly the shifter and linkage
Ecu
Mas
Intake, intercooler, bov, and piping
Possibly Fuel Pump
Downpipe

A more common conversion is the 2.0 DOHC n/t to Turbo, I have not read much about the 1.8 liter conversions. Try searching the forums for more info.

My vote is keep the TSI and do the body work, use your 1.8 as a more reliable car.
