I have an FPR that is set correctly. I have an AFC that is leaned out. So why is my car still running rich enough to make my bumper black?

The cat has been removed for a very long time. Buschur 3" all the way back with a test pipe...but why would I just all the sudden start having this problem?

Unless your fuel pressure or A/F ratio are way off, black soot on the bumper is a normal byproduct of running without a cat. You can check for boost and vacuum leaks to make sure the system's leak free. If you're leaking metered air under boost you'll be more rich than you should be and this can also contribute to the soot buildup. I have no boost or vacuum leaks and I still have to clean mine off from time to time. You should see the stain behind my car on the garage floor.

Ok, well im in transition from work to school. I think when I get up to school, I just need to spend some time doing a leak test and re-do the timing...

Question. Now when you said you've set your fpr to the right amount how did you set it? Because when you set you fpr you need to have the vacumm line unplugged from it otherwise you get a faulty reading. I'm sure you've done it right, but you never a little reminder doesn't ever hurt.
