I was in the prosses of instaling a 20g turbo on my car when I slipped a wrench and punctured a small hole in my radiator. I needed a quick fix, so I ran to the junk yard and the only thing I could find was one for a nonturbo 5speed laser. It looked the same untill I pulled it and found out it was about half as thick as the one I had. I had no other options so I put it on my car and fineshed the turbo install. I started the car and no leaks and it does not over heat. I drove for ten min and pulled over to make sure everything was looking ok under the hood. I notesed my upper and lower raidator hose were inflated more than they were befor. Its looks like there is to much pressure in the hoses (more than 13lb). My hg is fine I just replaced about 2 months ago with a steel one and arp studs. The car runs and drives grate and dosent leak or over heat. What could be causing my hoses to have more pressure than normal I mean its hard to push them in with your hand. The pressure goes down after the engine is cooled off(45 min). any siguestons would be much apreciated.

I wouldnt think the pressure would go up. Maybe they just look a little odd on that radiator? Get the correct radiator asap is what I would do.

maybe you junkyard special has crap in it an its plugging it try to flush it with a hose

The water pump, nor an obstruction, will not inflate a radiator or heater hose. They expand because of the pressure formed by the expanding, heated water. Your hoses are rotted and need replacement.
