Okay guys I have an autometer phantom oil guage (electronic). This came with a new oil sender I put in the filter housing. Now my question is my oil light comes on dimly at idle. Barely noticable except at night time. Now if I rev my car the light goes brighter on my dash. What gives?

THe guage is used and get stuck around 50psi so when it hits that it jumpy. Has anyone ever had this problem?

If you do replace the sending unit for the idiot light, make sure you are very careful when tightening the sender. I mis-read the manual and thought it was ft/lbs when it is actually in in/lbs. That resulted in a cracked oil filter housing.....I'm a moron. :p
