As i have posted once before i am doing a 4g63t to 4g63nt swap. Yes going n/t, but im going to be slapping on the turbo from the old motor. I have just came to the realization that i didnt complete all the neccesary requiremets to do this. What i need to know is that if i turn the boost WAY down, can i get by without the mls head gasket, and forged pistons? I also do not have an intake cam, can i just use the one from my original motor? At the curent moment if need be i can buy a mls head gasket but not the pistons. They will end up costing me to much money.

I would like to not put much money into this block. Once i get settled with the air force, i will start rebuilding the stock motor to turn into a racing block. So thats where i would like to put the money. Untill i build that motor though, this one is going to be a daily driver with some occasional racing.:D

I had a N/T 2.0 engine and I put a 13G turbo(rated just under the 14b) on it and ran 8PSI, the car ran fine even though it already had bad rings, eventually without me knowing it one of the rings broke and I burnt up all the oil, then I got rod knock. Just saying that even if you have forged N/T pistons the ringlands are not suitable for boost, now if your saying that your forged pistons are turbo then you will probably not have any problem at all but I would still monitor w/ a datalogger.
