I recently blew my engine in my 92 eclipse gsx. I can get a 4g61t for cheap would it be a direct replacement for my engine? Our will I need a new ecu and wireing harness?
The 4g61t is just a long block and I would need to change over all my stuff. This is just to hold me over until my engine gets rebuilt in about 2-3 months. Thanks for the info

I'm pretty sure you could get it to work, as long as you swap over the right components. There's quite a bit of information available both on this site and www.4G61t.org. Here's a couple threads I found with minimal searching:

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=163557&highlight=4g61*

http://www.4g61t.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=18557

You could also try a search of "4G61*" in titles only to see what else you can find.

Yea I read those when I was searching but, nethier one of them replied if they ever accomplished it or not. Guess I will find out in acouple days. If any one has any ideas they are welcome. Thanks for the quick reply!!
