The Joe P Manual Boost Controller, 50 bucks not bad!
Ihave one question, I know im suppose to tap one of the nipples to the wastegate but where would i tap the other nipple to? On witch end on the 'T' hose? I know runnin it tru the bov is no good so witch one should i run tru? anyone have actual pictures of their set up? :thumb:

Most people run the other line off the j pipe. Basicly the wastegate "reads how much boost there is and opens at a predetermined level. The boost controller modifies what the wastegate sees to keep it from opening untill you want it to. One line to the wastegate the other to a boost source. If you do a quick search I bet you can find a grip of threads with pics about this.

Here is one way to do it, I found this in about 3 1/2 seconds

That is how i run mine, and have no complaints. There are some people that dont like it and run off either a nipple on their j-pipe or licp if you have nipples on either of those.

thisis exactlyhow I am running mine, but I have mine wide open and can't get my E316g to boost passed 10psi. Getting owned by a Type S kills me til I can achieve my 15psi mark. Someone said stiffer spring, I stretched the spring, it made it stiffer, but did nothing.

If you cant get past 10psi, more then likely you got some boost leaks!
Also did you make sure to put the wg hose on the right side of your MBC?

Your not suppose to T into your BOV line. Put the wastegate to the top nipple off the wg acutator, and put the boost source line on the J pipe. You want the shortest lines possible.

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=237982&highlight=MBC+install There is a nice MS paint by brute.

Remember when adjusting the Joe P that adjusting it down means more boost and screwing out means less.

so just unhook one of the lines and hook it uo to the nipple (short's line)

If it isnt broke, dont fix it. Thats what I found after changing my set from tapping off the BOV line to tapping off the intercooler piping. My BOV would open prematurely. So now i'm back to tapping off the bov line.

I blocked off mine with a screw. The boost controller feels like it has a quicker response now. But today is the first time I've drove it in awhile so it might be in my head.
