i have been doing som research about the differences between the 90 and 91 cars.
like the brakes and rear end i belive(is this correct?).well i found a 90 laser with only 73 thousand original miles. the car is totaled but the engine and tranny are untouched and complete.well anyways i was wondering if there are any differences between the 90 and 91 turbo engines if so what are they?and are any of them on the block?
thanks

if you have the entire filter housing/cooler assembly, the 90 setup is better. Frankly, even with no cooler it's better, just to eliminate that source of coolant/oil mixture (potentially).

Obvious differences from the 90 motor that won't work with your 91 car are transistor pack, CAS, throttle body (maybe, can't remember). The vfaq should go more in depth, but the head/block/basics are all the same for all turbo six bolts.
