Maybe I'll re-word this better now: I have airbags but I would like to know if I buy cheap (oem) struts, if I seperate the strut body from the shaft can I weld the bottom of the airbag on the strut body and weld the shaft on the top of the airbag. If I do this, will the welds hold???? this might be a dumb question but, please tell me your opinions. thanks

You might want try posting this Q in a lowrider forum. I would think its all about what your welding to and if you have the right welder at the right power output. Then making sure you have the right size bag as to not put too much pressure on the shock when inflated. Then making sure the bag can clear the suspension.

well brute, airbags do elimanate the struts, others combine the use of airbags + the strut platform = airstruts which install where your factory struts are to make them easier to install. I would like to just use the airbags and skip tring to do what I'm asking but, I don't know where to install the airbags safey. if anyone has installed airbags, please let me know how you did it because, I have no clue. This is my first time installing them, thanks

I used to have an accord on bags no good. The idea of using bags with struts is to make the car safe for driving my accord just had air cylinders all around and boy was I scared, the struts give the car the dampening. If you just install bags the car would literally be driving on air which is no good for handling. Most trucks like tahoes have a seperate shock and bag combo, but because of room you need the get the all in one strut bag combo. Theres a company that should make them for your car. I would check
http://www.ridetech.com/ or do a google search there is a company I just cant remember it.

Correct.

You MUST have a strut on a 1G. The way the suspension os designed the strut is an actual structural member. You also can not just hack and piece together a "system". If you are going to do it this is what you need, however a kit is not made for 1G's

I want to drop it 2 inches, the person that I bought the car from cut the L/R pass side springs at 2 inches but, cut the L/R driver side springs at 1 1/2 inches. I don't like cuting springs so,I thought about using airbags since I already had them but, everyone say airbags won't work on 1g talons. I like those because you can rasie and lower the car from the inside vs coilovers. Since I have 215/45/17 I thought airbags would be better.
