yeah im still puzzeled about my gst i can gun it then it will miss and sputter till i let off the gas. If i take it easy then it dosent do this just when i want to gun it. it just started doing this after i put a BOV on and a Air intake and i put new plugs and wires on so i know that an't the problem.

any suggestions

A: Are you recirculating your BOV?
B: What kind of spark plugs and wires?
C: What kind of air intake, and are all the vacuum lines hooked up accordingly?
D: Did you do a boost leak test yet?

yeah recirculating the bov and the plugs were new from auto zone it was doing this b4 hand so i changed plugs and the wries well it did it on the stock ones and the ones i bought off here so i dout that would be it and i did a boostleak test and found some leaks that i fixed but still has the same problem :(

For plugs, you should be using NGK BPR6ES's and nothing else. If you've got serious modifications and are running higher boost levels, you can go with a colder heat range of plug. For some reason, our cars don't like Bosch plugs, especially the platinum plugs.

use the ngk's bpr6es looks about right for your setup , make sure the gap is at .028 and nothing more, i recently had the same problem on my only test and tune for the sport compact nationals.

And correct me if im wrong but if he put bpr7es's in his car the worst that could happen is he fouls them easier. and if you go back to the auto parts store and want the bpr7es just ask for a set of plugs for a 2003 mitsubishi evolution8 because they use the same plugs.

What plugs did you use?, i.e. (what brand?/part #) Also what is your spark plug gap set to?

And he was my crew chief believe it or not so listen to this man when he talks he knows his stuff :thumb: p.s. youll be a proven helpfull contributing member again one day john :tease: :D

Not sure if you fixed the problem but what BOV are you running...The Greddy Type S and Apexi all have little nuts you need to tigthen for it to hold boost...otherwise your BOV opens while driving creating a feeling similiar to fuel cut.

If its a 1G...then I have no idea.

I hate it when I hear this. Tightening your brackets doesn't fix a boost leak at say, the intake manifold, or your throttle body. :beatentodeath:
