HKS Sport Turbo Kit Upgrade

okay i did a search and it brought back nothing on this but the carb legal stuff on it. i need to know what the power output of this upgrade is. i might be able to swoop this HKS Sport Turbo Kit Upgrade for real real cheap. i need to know how this turbo reacts, what it can be boosted to be efficent. how much cfm. if anyone has a flow map on it, or where i can find one. just all general knowledge about this kit.

like i said all i can find is where to buy, hence me asking here. if anyone has experience with the kit please help, or any help at that matter. i know on hksusa is said that its a gt25 upgrade. i just need to know if this is just a superior quality t25 or if its beneficial to make around 300-330 whp. i know i can achieve those numbers with a e316g and big 28, but im trying to do something different here. and the price i can get this at is amazing.

I'm not sure how much power it'll make, but it looks similar to a T28 setup which would likely be a stretch to make 330 to the wheels. Maybe with a great tune and plenty of boost but I can't be sure.

Unless I'm mistaken, you'll also need a T3/T4 exhaust manifold and you may need to perform some downpipe mods to make this work. I also didn't see injectors and fuel control. Just for kicks, I would call HKS and see what the power ratings are. I know you want to do things differently, but I'm not sure just how involved this will become and if it will help you meet your goals.

You'll find that on a board like this, we generally don't buy HKS or Greddy branded turbo parts because they're often cost prohibitive and we can do just as well by purchasing equivalent or better parts from other manufacturers. As such you won't find too much info here on people who have tried these. If you can score a great deal it may be worth it, but I'd investigate further and have a laundry list of everything you'll need so that you can fully analyze the cost to benefit ratio.

thanks for the help andy. i figued id need a manifold for the turbo. the down pipe can be bought from hks so that im not worrying about. but ill let everyone know what i find out when i call them.

I actually believe this is a direct bolt on for the eclipse and it is exactly that... a T28 which is a T3 turbo so I dont think you will need a T3/T4 manifold. You will probably need new injectors, pump and some fuel management.. My suggestion is HKS is nice but not worth the money for this mod.. some other mods maybe. I did some research into this kit when I was going to buy it.

Us dsm people don't use hks or greddy because its way to expensive and you can get results with products just as good or even better then gks or greddy, to be honest you would be better off buying a 16g or 20g from SBR or somewhere. Also this place is best place to get ALOT of hp and don't need too spent a shit load of money to get it. Go to the tech guide.........it shows you how to get HP and don't empty your wallet in the process

ive read the teech guide. im not posting becasue i think this is better than a mhi turbo. im posting to find info on this product. i know that a 16g will get me waht i want, hell ive been through three of them. i was just wondering what this kit would do for me due to the deal on the table. lets see 500 for a big16g with no porting or clipping. or around 300 from a friend that has this kit laying around. you pick.

I use HKS cams/valvesprings in my car and my boost gauge is GReddy. They might have cost some more, but at least this way I've got a few bragging rights by having the genuine article
