i did a search on the mbc install and there is a how to that states use a intake manifold as your mbc pressure source and not off the turbo is that right? because i have my pressure source coming off the jpipe where turbosmarts instructions told me to use. i am still overboosting at what should be a low boost setting.

here's how i have my in cabin mbc installed:
first off its mounted in the engine bay and not in the the drivers compartment
hose from the jpipe that connects to the wastegate actuator has a tee that connects to the lower fitting of the mbc, the upper fitting is open because i was told is was just a vent. sound right to everyone or what? thanks!

Nope, the BOV line is the worst place to tap and the compressor/j-pipe is the best place to tap. That tech article is outdated.

What about the other fitting on the tee?

the upper fitting is open because i was told is was just a vent. sound right to everyone or what? thanks
Got a link to pics or instructions for this mbc? Which fitting on the mbc goes to the actuator?

This issue has really got my head spinning lately oldman.

Could you explain why it is best to tap at the j-pipe? I have been researching and have come up with nothing for evidence. I had heard the bov tap was not the best but it has always worked for me. I want to tap it in the right location so everything is happy and I just wanted to know why the j pipe is better.

We should update the tech article so misinformation isnt spread, I thoght it was "ok" since it was in the tech articles.

here is the link to the turbosmart install instructions. it has a "boost tee" that is between the pressure source(from the jpipe) to the actuator and tees to the lower fitting of the mbc. again i have it installed exactly how it states other then if im wrong about the upper fitting because all it says on the instructions is exhaust reroute back to engine compartment. something like that. thanks again
