you may look at my proflie to see my current mods. i wish to add a data logger,fpr,255 fuel pump,maft,650cc injectors, fmic, in that order in the not to distant future. my real question is would this as in the logger fpr and maft give me all the tuning capibilities i would need or would i also need a safc or a wideband. i really want to reach low 13s would this set up put me there. thanks for the help to a new dsmr. sorry if this is repetitive i could not find a form discribing to me how tunable my car would be with these three mods. everyone seems to have more money than me and has an safc or dsmlink or something else i cant afford.

well, Im thinking you could get there with the 14b, It would be really easy if you got a bigger turbo though, thats gonna cost 500-1000.

wait to see what some other guys say but wih that set up and a bigger turbo afterwards you could probly run a 16g at around 20psi.

what turbo would you experts recomend for this setup and hope of low 13 or maybe even high twelves. big 16g 18g or 20g or not a mitsu turbo at all.

with a bigger turbo would i feel the boost hit allot harder. right now it is graduel and drops off around 5500 to 6000 rpm. how much more lag should i suspect if any.

You can definately get low 13's if not high 12's with your current setup plus the new stuff (maybe add a fmic) and a proper tune. A lot of guys tune very well with the MAFT and no AFC. Just be sure to get the extended harness for the MAFT or else you'll be under your hood every few miles making changes. 13's is very easy to do with these cars. I've done several mid-high 13 second pass's with my stock 14b and mild mods/tuning so a 16g should get you to where you want to be.

With your 16g you shouldn't be worrying about upgrading yet. If you want some performance for free you can port your manifold/turbo/o2 housing. Most people just get more mods before they tune their setup. I could have a more powerful car than you, but if you can drive and tune better, then you will have the upper hand. Keep that in mind. I would definately go ahead with the datalogger. Shop around in the classifieds if you are comfortable buying online, I got my FMIC setup and MAFT all for $500 shipped.

would i want any other support mods or is that a pretty safe rought. how much power can the supra side mount handle or is better to just go for the front mount and not buy it twice

Pick up a Palm M515 from Ebay (50$-80$), make your own cable (6$ from radio shack parts), and the MMCD software is free!

im pretty sure they make a logger now compatable with zetronix wideband...
just throwin that out there...

The supra sidemount can handle plenty of power for the setup you plan on going with. My issue with the supra sidemount was that mine hung to low and one day it got ripped out from under the car. That and you have to build your own piping to make it work. The supra sidemount is more of a do it yourself project, while a FMIC with the piping is more of a bolt on with a lot less messing around and trying to make things work. The negative side of that is the cost. Depending on your goals, you could pick up either a supra sidemount, a dejon powerhouse, or a hahn racecraft sidemount and have the advantages of it being more of a sleeper and no overheating problems. If your goals are high 12's then a FMIC is not necessary, but an intercooler upgrade is. Try to find something that fits into your budget and has been proven to perform well.

I got my logger form www.pocketlogger.com. Most people get the free stuff, but I saw that the pocketlogger had support forums as well as easy to use log viewing software. Again, this is one of those things that you should think about based off of your budget. I personally have no experience with other loggers, but pocketlogger has worked great for me. :thumb:

if i get the pocket logger what palm is the best one for that cash that does everything i need

I got an AFPR kit from Import Evolution. It was the best deal out there and it was a direct bolt on with the stainless line and AN fittings. Most people reommend sticking with proven brand name products like aeromotive when it comes to dealing with fuel pressure regulators.

With the set up i am working towards will my car need to be re tuned often because of weather or other factors.

Will the instalation of a fmic make my current setup go lean or rich? Will i need to wait on a fmic until after my MAFT and fpr?

Would dsm link be worth the money in a set up like this? How much money would it cost for a complete setup with a laptop? What actually comes with it? What gains would I recive.
