1g coil pack on a 2g?

Is it possible to get a 1g coil pack to work on a 2g?
I think my coil may be bad, and want to try a working one to see, but all I have on hand is a 1g.

The 90 coil packs have a square 4 pin connector i believe the 91-94s have that triangular 3 pin connector, so you would need the 91-94 1g coil pack to even give it a shot to see if it will plug in. Because i think the 2g has a similar triangular 3 pin connector. I dont think any 1g coil packs work in a 2g but im not certain to the question of whether you could get it to work by modifying it.

The one i have is a square 4 pin connector. I was going to modify/swap the connectors , but didn't realize that that I was a wire short on the 2g .

I think that the 90(4 pin) coil pack has an extra wire because the tachometer interface is built into the 90 coil pack and the newer 3 pin coil packs dont have the extra pin becuase they added the tach part to the power transistor.

i know for a fact the 91-94 will work cause i did it to mine..just cut the connector off the donor 1g and solder it to your 2g..worked fine for me
