what springs would give my 91 tsi a good drop? or do i have to go with coilovers? also will any cheap ebay coilovers work?

personally. with suspension. DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME!. iv seen ebay coilover work but most of the time you'll get uneven spring rate and most likly bounce like crazy.
if money short, get somting like the tien s. tech. on stock shocks or on GR-2.

I agree with SloWPanda, but a nice setup that my brother had was eibach prokit springs, with gr-2 shocks and struts.

But if you want a lower drop eibach also has sportline springs, which drop 2 inches. Prokit is around 1.2.

im not a fan of lowering a awd car seems pointless to me, you should worry more about stiffnes.

if you have stock shocks, don t drop it more than 1.5 inches
or say bye bye to your shocks if you live where roads are rough

I think the Tein kit is fairly cheap (+/-130$) and good quality,
or you have the eibach ones, pretty cheap and proven too.

I tried to get away with ebay cheapo coil overs. Because they have such a lousy spring rate they always bottom out thus destroying your shocks/struts, ball joints, and in my case controll arms.

Ive had a 1.8 inch drop by ebiach with upgraded struts on my 97 GSX and im not a fan of the handling in the rain..I found myself going slower than everyone else due to hydroplaining - minus camber kit`s..I also wasnt satisfied with the drop.. I preffered more although it looked great. Im going with skunkII coilovers next because with springs you`re drop is it.. meaning if you need to take our car to the shop ect you can always raise it back to stock for whatever reason.
