14b problem

sort of a problem. Sometimes usually when the car is warm, the turbo spools, but doesnt seem to pull. Usually bad in 1st and 2nd... other times it wont do it, and then some days it just bad. Any ideas? boost leak?

Also, you'll want to climb under the car and make sure that the wastegate arm is still attached. If the arm hangs, you'll hardly build any boost since the flapper door will open prematurely and not allow the turbo to reach full spool.

Yes, like Andy said, the wastgate actuator arm is held on by a coder(sp?) pin, those tend to rust and fall out when they become weakend, and the flapper will always be blowing open, and cause no boost to build, but you can get at this with out going under the car. Me and my friend did it from up top, very easy to get to just hard to fit 4 arms in there, get the arm on and put the pin in it.
