Toronto,
Well of course when you fix one thing you screw up another. In my case it was the dumbest mistake.

I was RTVing a leaky valve cover and was cleaning the oil on the transmission housing to see if it still leaked.

I got too excited and pulled on what I think is the Rad temp sensor that trips my fan.
So now I'm asking the community, how do I take this plug off, and can it be opened up and be rewired?

This picture shows what exactly I ripped. The location is almost directly below the CAS.

Thanks for your help

The picture is too dark. If you broke the fan switch, just simply replace it. Happens all the time. They fail on their own, get broke etc.

Should be at your local parts house.

I found a better picture here (Labeled B)

It's the coolant temperature sensor. But I noticed there is a Coolant Temp Fan switch as well, but that isn't the wire I ripped.

So why does my fan turn on and off when I reconnect the coolant temp sensor?

My car would'nt start this morning. It turned the engine started for 1/2 sec and died. So I fiddled around, then I took the ignition wires out and put it back in and it started again. Maybe I had a loose ignition wire. Did the coolant temperature sensor have anything to do with this? Should I just short it out in the meantime until I can get it fixed properly?

Yes it does. When I ripped my coolent sensor lines, it was almost like the choke would not work so it was really hard to start cold. It idles like crap but it will still run. As soon as I wired the sensor back in, it fixed all my problems. You should be getting a CEL also.

What was the part number for a new line? Is it just the connector plus some wiring or did you have to buy more than you needed

I kind of getto rigged mine but thats how I do all my wiring. I just bought some nice sealed wire connectors and used some new wire to rewire it. I didnt use the old connector just bought the little wire connector and slid it on the sensor.
