Loud interior?

For some reason my 95 ( 5/94 build date) has always been really loud inside. I can hear almost every sound from inside the engine bay. My friends 97 is much quieter.

Does anyone have an idea why? Was there some sort of sound deadening installed later?

Look on the fire wall of both and see if the same material is installed. or if yours was took off for some reason.

yea in my old dsm i had the same problem...if the sound deadening material isnt there then its gonna sound like its raining in your car in the rain or your motors on its last leg...if dynamat wasnt so expensive id outline my whole car with it so it didnt sound like a warzone...
