so i was driving around and now i noticed that my boost controler no longer works. i had it set at 20 and now it never stops and i end up building 30+psi. i terned it all the way up and all the way donw and same thing happens. i have a manual boost controler wondering if anyone had any ideas for me?

Do you have any friends with dsm's? I would try one of their boost controllers. You can take your lines off to see if there is any cracks in them. Also I see you running a Evo316g How long have you had this and did you port it? You might be seeing boost creep.

What kinda knock counts you seeing when it reads 30 psi? If your car was tuned for 20 psi and suddenly you are hitting 30, you should be seeing major knock counts, but only if it really is hitting 30 psi. The problem also may not be you mbc but your wastegate actuator.

EDIT: In fact, check to make sure the hose going into the atuator is still there.

Take off your boost controller and run the hose straight to the wastegate actuator. If you still get massive creep then it is your turbo that is causing the problem and not your boost controller. If problem goes down and solves the problem then it is something to do with your boost controller.

Pull the hose that is going onto the bottom of the boost controller coming from your boost source and plug it directly into the wastegate on the bottom of the turbo. should make the car fun at the turbo wastegate pressure which is usually around 8-10 psi

could i go from the wastgate into the other line. just like hook them up all the same lines just one into the other with the boost controler not there i will take a pic

As long as you go straight from your boost source to your actuator then you have accomplished testing the boost controller. Do you know what boost the actuator is supposed to set for? And what about those knock counts?

No prob, if you need a new boost controller just look around for a Joe-P for the cheapest but good quality. I love mine
