:beatentodeath: Does anyone know why my TD05H cracked. I just changed my cracked exhaust manifold and while it was off, I noticed that from the top of the housing mount, to pretty far down that there was a pretty noticlbe crack.. What could cause that?

Extremely hot temperatures, it's very common to have cracks in exhaust housing, it should not affect the performance so no need to worry about it:cool:

THe manifold is not cracked anymore but the turbo has a pretty good size crack almost all the way down to the shaft. Yes... It spools up very slow for a stock turbo. I can have it in 2nd gear at 2000 rpm and punch it, I will not get my full boost until around 3200-3700rpm...

Oh yea thats real bad. You should see full boost by 3200rpms or lower. My friend has a really bad cracked mani and I bet his turbo is cracked to because he doesnt see full boost untill around 3800rpms.

Replacement turbine housings are available from Mach V for around $300 or so. Once you get a new housing on, it'll feel like a different car.
