I have a 90 gsx, it has around 140,000 miles on it. I have a bad ticking, clicking coming from the top of my head. i replaced the lifters with the revised ones probably 1000 miles ago. i still have the clicking though. i changed the oil after also. it clicks when the engine is warm or cold, just does it at random, i have no clue what it is. if anyone could point me in the right direction i would appreciate it. Thanks

Often, when an auto tensioner on the timing belt assembly starts going out, it'll make ticking noises that resemble lifters. I know you said that the sound occurs in the area of the head, but it might not be a bad idea to pull the driver's side wheel and splash guard to check for an out of balance crank pulley. These can start wobbling if they crack and can make knocking or ticking sounds. While you're there, pull the front cover and see if you can depress the tensioner by hand.

Keep us posted,

Andy
