alright so ive bought a slimline fan from sbr. my question is this do i need a kit to go with it like you would on the dual kits or can i just wire it straight up. i searched and found the wiring diagram for this then i found that a thermometor might be needed is this true..

Use the pass. side fan connector, cut the black and black/white wires. put some female terminal connectors on em. If you are talking about you having the 14" chm fan from slowboy, then hook the black wire from the car to the blue wire on the fan, then the black/white wire from the car to the black on the fan. This will cause the fun to run on high, and be thermostat controlled. Good luck!!:thumb:

its a 12" not that it matter's.. there's 4 wires off the connector i thought you wired them all up. if not you just leave two of them alone?..Also this way you explain it will run off the factory thermostate i dont have to get a new one right?

Correct, whenever the car tells the fans to turn on, it will turn the aftermarket fan on just like the stock fan. On a 2g there is a wire for high and a wire for low so you need to make sure you have the right one. Also just some advice if you haven't checked, make sure if you want a puller that you have the fan wired to be a puller. I accidentally had mine wired backwards. To switch it you flip the fan blades and reverse the wires so that black is now the positive instead of the ground. Hope that helps some.:thumb:

-Hey bud, I'm sorry but I need to straighten this out. If you your fan is pushin and you flip the fan and reverse the polarity, then you are right back to pushin. You either do one or the other, it's a lot easier if you just reverse the polarity.\

- For the high speed circuit use blk & blk/wht, for low use bl & bl/wht. If your two wires on your fan are blue and black, and you want your fan to run on high, then you'll more than likely have to wire the blue->black and black->blk/wht, this will have the fan supposedly pullin, on high speed, and YES it is thermostat controlled, no you do not have to have a new thermostat. the fan will come on around 210 and go off at 203

I just noticed you said you have a slimline, so your colors may be diff., but if it is only 2 wires, then of course one is pos. and one neg. so it won't be hard to figure it out. I hope all of this helps ya! Good luck!!
