I just replaced my TB seals, and put it all back together, and I can't seem to adjust my TPS down past 13.6%. The car doesn't have to be running to do this does it? As long as it is turned on it will read the same voltage correct?

Correct, car off is fine. You sure you put it back together correctly? I put my TPS on funky once.

I was going to take it apart and put it back together, but i wanted to see if anyone new what was going on first.

As far as I know, the ECU is looking for TPS rate of change rather than an actual TPS value. I adjusted my TPS to the correct resistance ( I forget what that exact value is) and then looked at the TPS value on my logger and got about 12%.

I don't mean to bump :nono: but, if you put it on wrong will it act like a rev limiter and kinda hang-up or hassette when you hit the gas???

Sounds like you tried to follow the incorrect VFAQ. Unless your sensor voltage and TPS total resistance are exactly the same as the the car in the VFAQ your resistance to get 0.5v output (10%) will be different as you discovered.

If your interested in why you can look up the formulas for voltage dividers and see what happens.

I didnt drive it untill I got it adjusted .

I got it adjusted. I took off the TB and left it connected, then it allowed me to adjust it properly.

I got it adjusted. I took off the TB and left it connected, then it allowed me to adjust it properly. My car still will not run with the block-off plate on there though. I am going to take it off, and put back on the ISC and FIAV and see if it will start.

Sorry for the double-post.
