Bolted up the new turbo, I'm using a ported 2g mani with a ext. wg off of the o2 housing. When I bolted it up, I've got the water line out of the block and have the banjo bolt blocked off with a bolt supplied. I noticed that the manifold wasn't completely seated against the head and looked back and my compressor housing is hitting the MAIN water line that is roughly an inch in diameter that runs against the block. What am I going to have to do? I'm a bit skeptical on trying to dent it unless thats what I'm supposed to do. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Thanks,
Justin

Justin,

Some 50 trims don't require a dent in the water pipe and some do. It appears that yours will need it. Go ahead and re-check the clearances on everything as you mock it up, but if it's still hitting, denting it is the only option. I've seen the same turbo go on different cars and one needed denting while the other didn't.

Don't sweat it. Just dent it enough to clear and you'll be fine.

Good luck,

Andy

I really appreciate it, I was just trying to find an alternate route to my problem, I didn't wnat to have to do that unless I absolutely had to.

Thanks again
