My car is just not putting out what i need it to and i need some help. i dont have much power of the line and the turbo doesnt spool to 18psi untill after 5000rpm and is only puting out 288hp and all the shops i go to tell me i should have close to 350hp. Every shop i go to tells me i should do something different, most say i should change the turbo.
so if you could please check my profile to see what i might need and give me some advice to achieve about 350hp.

What 50 trim do you have and how do you have your oil feed line hooked up?

what kind of wastegate is it??? internal?? or external?? I had an internal on my pte scm5031 and it had a nut you had to tighten to adjust boost... it also adjusts the flapper... so if it is all the way out like mine was you wont get boost till late in the rpm band....i couldnt even make 10psi....i realized it was the wg nut after it fell off... and so the second time around i made sure it was tight... also check for boost leaks and exhaust leaks at the manifold play a large part in spool....

yeah it is internaly gated can you tell me where the nut is? and i have had the turbo manifold checked for leaks and its ok. and sorry i am not sure how the oil feed line is hooked up it was all done at a shop, but how should it be hooked up

ive been told that the turbo just lags to much and i should replace it any suggestions on what kind of turbo

Where the red circle is that is where the nut is to tighten the wg acutator...try that... i doubt the turbo needs to be replaced... the flapper could just be stuck open like mine was....

Yea do what he says. They spool slow but you should still see full boost between 4000-4200 if its not ball bearing. Have you done regular checks like boost leaks, compression check, plugs and wires, ect.??
