ok the alarm on my 98' eclipse seems to go off one time for no reason (perhaps i unlocked it the wrong way, maybe it's opening the passenger side door first) i'm not exactly sure what the reason is.....however the problem is that 1, i can't turn it off so i have to wait about 3 minutes for it to go off by itself. 2, after it goes off once everytime i open the door it goes back off  incredibly frustrating. I have taken out the horn fuse just for sanity's sake and i'm really tired of having to reset my battery, so could ne1 give me a good diagram or picture of where exactly the alarm module is so i can take it out, or if u have a more simple solution that would be great to. (when replying please consider I am a GSM noob and know next to nothing about cars. Thanks.

find the sensor wire on the relay and ground that bad boy to the car. All it is a sensor miss reading and when you ground the wire out it will read full contat all the time. Your alarm will be useless but it will work

Ok my alarm on my car has been going off completly randomly for the past couple weeks. One of my battery connections was loose so i tightened that up yesterday but this morning while i was upstairs in my house i heard it goin off again. The alarm is stock as far as i know and when i bought the car i didnt get any keyless entry remotes or anything like that. Any places to check for loose connections or is there some type of setting i can play around with to get it to stop what its doing?

thanks:dsm:

I had the same problem with mine, my problem was from the hood sensor. The hood sensor is right behind the driver's side headlight on the radiator support.

I have a 93 gsx adn it does almost the exact same thing....the thing with mine is that there is an aftermarket switch for teh alarm....but it doesnt work...it suts the alarm completly off or keeps it on but disengaged adn without a keyless entry i have no idea how to engage it...it does it randomly...seems to be a fairly common problem
