Gt Evo Manifold in 1g

I was wondering how easy the gt evo manifold ( http://www.turbochargers.com/store/...d=121&osCsid=429a2437e5982bbe34dd6db0e9be24d8 )bolts up to a 1g. I believe it should be a direct fit but I was wondering if anyone had installed one on there 1g car. I dont want to tear into if I have to machine anything right away.

I have that and it's a great manifold. As far as installation goes, I do remember on the bottom right of the flange that bolts up to the head, had to cut off a little. No big deal really, but I do remember doing that. I've read that some people didn't have to do any cutting at all. For the most part though it is a direct bolt-on and shouldn't be too big of a problem. If you run into any fitment issues, it's nothing that a dremmel with a cut-off wheel won't solve.

do you know how to read thread dates? this was in 06. go get a SBR cast manifold or the FP cast.

Yes the Gt manifold from turbochargers is discontinued,but you can still pick one up on ebay though,IMO,you should go with a FP manifold if your palnning to spend that kind of money

iam trying to go with a sleeper look in my engine bay and sbr or fp manifold is a dead give away

sbr cast is not a dead give away. it looks a lot like stock if you dont have the external WG flange on it. Nobody is gonna notice that it's a little bit thicker. The FP..yea, it's a dead give away.
