Winnipeg,
Well I got a turbo back exaust, a hacked aircan with a k@n, a boost controller and a datalogger on my 91 awd. I want to see how fast I can go on this setup and to do that I will need some c16.

My question is can I just throw some c16 in my tank or do I need an afc to lean it out to run it properly? I am hoping to run 20 psi atleast with the race gas but I want it to do it saftly. Should I maybe pop off a vaccum hose pre-turbo to lean it out a bit? Would I hit fuel cut? I know I won't be getting the "most" out of the car without tuning it but I just want to make sure it will be safe to do this.

I will ofcourse monitor my datalogger like its my lifesupport, what should a good target o2 reading be with c16? .80, .70?

I know this isn't the "proper" way of doing things but that doesent bother me aslong as I can drive her home afterwards.

I am only looking for useful info on this and if you don't have anything usefull or informational to say I dont want to hear it. Aslong as its informative I want the pos and neg on this.

Thanks again guys Axe

Narrowband O2 sensors are, in my opinion, useless when it comes to tuning. It's like trying to watch TV with only your peripheral vision. I wouldn't trust it to tune by.

Since you have no piggyback device installed, the only thing you can do is incrementally increase your boost until you can go 20 psi with no significant knock. Keep an eye on your knock counts, and if you pick up significant amounts of knock, back off on the boost controller. If you want your car to make it one piece, I don't recommend trying to lean it out. With stock injectors, 20 psi, and a stock intercooler that will be heatsoaked after one run, that leaves too many chances in there for detonation. Don't do any back-to-back runs, either. Give that IC time to cool down.

ok so screw the narrowband and tune just for knock, thats easy enough. I think ill start with 18 psi and increase from there.

I will soak my ic in ice cold water before and after each run to try to keep it cool.

What cuts out first the injectors or the fuel pump (not rewired)? If the injectors cut out first I have a nt fpr lying around that I could slap on to up my pressure a bit. What do you guys think?? Would I run too rich in the low end and mid for it to be worth while?

I want to make sure I got all the info I need before I go down there so I can use my time wisely since my track time will be limited and I can't verywell practace before hand since c16 is so damn expensive.

Thanks
