try some lucas oil stabilizer...worked for me, and everyone seems to like it.

:beatentodeath:
availiable here

i changed my lifters too cleaned them and everything and it is still ticking. i like the lucus oil but it didint help me. just so you know.

I just drove my car around and the clatter is just about all gone. there is just a small clicking left, hopefully that will go away soon. Thanks

Your injectors will also make a clicking sound so it will never fully go away. Mine clattered for two days before they finally quietened down, you can still here them at high rpms but I am used to it by now. It is not hurting anything so why bother, it is a DSM and I am afraid to mess with anything that is working right.

I know everyone usually recommends Lucas, but there is a good alternative. BG MOA - I think the dealership uses it too. I used this stuff in my old 4g63 engine. Worked better than anything else. I used it once and then just kept up on the oil changes and it never came back. A buddy of mine used it too....same results. :)

You can buy it on eBAY. There are a bunch of auctions right now----> http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?sofocus=bs&sbrftog=1&from=R10&catref=C6&satitle=bg+moa&sacat=-1%26catref%3DC6&bs=Search&sargn=-1%26saslc%3D2&sadis=200&fpos=ZIP%2FPostal&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=&fsop=1&fsoo=1

Good luck! :thumb:

Idle isn't always enough to fully pump up lifters. Oil pressure is too low at idle. Usually, the chatter will go away after about 20min of actual driving.

The clatter is back. it is on and off like it was before. i never hear it above 3000 rpms though. you can hear it sometimes when the engine is warm, when it's cold, at startup, or you wont hear it at startup. should i put some new oil in, could it be something else. i won't put any oil stabalizer's in my car so don't suggest it. i want to fix the problem and not just put a band aid over it. I would really like some help. Thanks

Give it couple more days of normal driving, if memory serves, that's how long it took mine to go away.
