So I did a boost leak test the other day, I tee-d into the vacuum lines and filled my system with air til 15 psi, then i close it off and looked for leaks. So the first thing i hear is this bubbling liquid noise coming from my valve cover. I opened up the oil cap and listened closer and there is definitely some air getting into there. This would be a bad pcv correct? I also heard a leak coming from around the turbo, it wasn't from the compressor outlet but either from the turbo inlet where i capped it off with a rubber coupler (hopefully) or somewhere towards the center section, in which case that probably means my turbo is on its way out (14b 130k miles). I tried some soapy water but there were no bubbles and it was too difficult to pinpoint where it was coming from by ear. But overall it took about 20 seconds for the boost to fall 10 psi down to 5 psi. Is that decent or should it hold pressure for a lot longer? What is the best solution to my bad pcv valve? a catch or get a new one and hope it works, ### i have heard that most of them are bad anyway.

I know when I leak tested my car after I put together my new IC setup, I couldn't get pressure to hold for more than 20 seconds at a max of like 5 psi. The turbo also had the leaking sound that you are describing, and about 30 seconds later (after filling the system with pressure again) I heard a puddle of oil dripping under the turbo as the seals must have gone out :-(

Block your pcv valve off and do another leak test,if its still leaking into the crankcase then you either have bad turbo seals, piston rings, valve seals. At that point you will need to do a leakdown test.
