Looking for turbo similar to hy35

Looking for a turbo that is spec'd similar to a holset hy35. Hy35's are hard to find, so just wondering if there are other turbo's close to the same in compressor and turbine size. I believe hy35's have a 9cm2 turbine housing, not sure on the compressor side. Not looking for a hx35 because a 12cm2 housing will have too much lag.

I would have put this in the turbo system tech forum, but apparently new members can only post questions here. Also this isn't for a dsm application.

Do you know the AR or flowrate on that turbo? Theres so many turbos out there and the only thing that came up when I searched for that turbo, they were all in diesals.

All i know about holset turbo's are that the hy35's have a 9cm2 (.65 a/r) turbine housing and came stock on 2001 dodge cummins pickups with an auto tranny, and that hx35's have a 12cm2 turbine housing and came on dodge cummins pickups from like 94-now. I'll do some more looking and see if I can find more info on them.

Since the hy35's only came on the 2001 auto tranny pickups, they are hard to find so I'm trying to find a similar turbo, like a garrett t3/t4 if thats about the same for example.

Bullseye power makes bolt on housing for hx-35, hx-40 and hx 35/40's. You can find them at a few different dealers. But here's a link to one of them.

And your only finding them on diesel trucks because that's what they were made for.

i would call some local junk yards i know were i live the guy said they had 3 2001 cummins and 2 auto that were complete still but thats in maine, but im sure a local junk yard near you would have something like that
