Depending on the wideband setup you could cause the CEL to come on... a wideband sensor gives a wider range of voltage then the normal o2 sensor... Some setups compensate for this by giving the ECU the proper voltage it wants to read.
 
I took mine off and my car start to run funny so I just took it to the shop and had them make a spot for it. I think you should keep your old one in. :thumb:
 
alright i put it in, car runs the same, no check engine light, now is there a way i can hook up the wideband to my datalogger, palm pilot.
also what setting did you put your wideband on, (the back of the gauge setting) i left mine how it was, that rotary switch.
 
As far as I know, only pocketlogger makes software to log wideband o2 sensors... and it has to be a specific wideband setup....
