hey i just picked up a 90 Eagle Talon TSi AWD and a 90 Eclipse GST. When i got them, the Talon didnt have a motor and the eclipse did. The body on the eclipse is horrible so i decided to swap the motor from the eclipse into the talon. i also got the motor that was in the talon seperate, but he threw a rod through the block so its no use. my question is, i need a wiring diagram with actual pics if at all possible so i can see where some things run to on the firewall such as the Camshaft Sensor and the TPS. Would it have been easier to take the engine harness out of the GST and just use it on the talon or is that not possible? once again, im new to this so sorry for any dumb questions.

I believe they are the same car, both being a '90. The TSI AWD and GSX in 90 were the same so all the plugs that were on the GSX will be in the same place on the TSI. as far as a wiring diagram you can pick up a chiltons and it has all of them in it. It is a good book to have, and if you forgot where you unplugged something from you can use it for reference.

If you were in Pueblo we would just take a few hours and finish it up. :thumb:

yea i got a manual book but it doesnt show where the clips plug in at or anything. if i cant get this harness to work, i guess ill have to switch them over.

My guess is that you just label everything as you unplug it. It will make the swap 100 times easier this way. You could also have a local DSMer at the swap and he'd just simply give you a look at his car everytime you needed a reference. That is what I did when I helped swap a camry motor.

oh ive already done the swap and now the car just isnt starting. i dont think its getting spark. sounds like im doing a compression test on the motor when im trying to start it. im just lookin for anyone thats willing to help me out with that.
