so i finally got my car back today,... took it there the 9th, and id have to say, the all black look is good for her.... i love the new paintjob,... (ill post pics later once i get a digicam...) but now its time to install my parts that have been waiting for months to install.... new boost gauge, i know what to do, new air filter and intake, i know what to do, lower intercooler piping, i know what to do, fmic, i kinda have an idea shouldnt be to many problems here... uicp, easy, gm maf, easy, but the dejon tool intake manifold is what im worried about... i have the gasket to the head, and i have one throttle body gasket, but do i need the other,.. they were jsut replaced about 1k miles ago (both) and i hope that this project isnt set back again by a gasket....also if anyone has any experience and wants to say something like... dont do this, make sure to not forget to do this, yada yada yada.... that would be appreciated...pics by tomorrow hopefully...

one last thing i forgot, my new manifold is kinda dirty (it has like metallic powder, im guessing from the painting, or from sanding or something) should i flush all that out with water, or should i not since its sheet metal and it might rust?

so i went to tear everything down today, and two hex screws on the bottom of my bumper are rounded off, (somewhat) so that a 10mm socket wrench wont work on them,.... what should i do? i was thinking that since they still have some flatness to their sides, i could fill the socket wrench with super glue and then put it on the bolt and let it dry, but i dont know how well it will hold on painted metal, or if ill be able to get those screws out of the socket (not that big of a deal)

i tried a pipe wrench yesterday, and i realised something like that wont work, since it is on the bottom of the bumper, it is about half the size of all the other ones because the car is low and they have been sanded down...i think im just going to have to drill these out

ok so what i ended up doing is taking a 3/8ths inch drill bit and raping the screws,.... thats how pissed off i was,....

hey at least it worked.....

now i just need some ideas on where to put the oil cooler, im trying to do two things that most people cant avoid doing while installing an fmic,...

1 cutting the bumper (its a thin fmic at 2.75 inches, and i plan on moving the oil cooler and cutting the hatch harness thingy....

2 keep the foglamps, because nothing cheers me up like being able to blind my friends more than then can blind me....

so what i have left is to cut holes for the piping, and get the stock intake manifold off... what do you guys use to cut the radiator harness or whatever it is... jig saw? drill and hack saw?

full list (mainly so i know what i have left)
4 screws on bottom of intake manifold and manifold stay(stock coil pack wont come out but i dont know if thats that big of a problem as its not attached to anything right now, wires or any of the three bolts that hold it down)
install new intake manifold and make sense of all those vacume lines (taboo pics should help alot)
uicp, easy
hole for uicp
move power steering pump behind that hatch thingy and cut that hatch thingy down
hole for licp
install fmic
install licp
find a new home for oil cooler
put on stock bumper and hope everything fits (i actually plan on cutting the thing that bolts the bumper to the car, but thats not that hard at all, and it wont make the bumper less stable, trust me)
put on bumper cover, or "bumper" and admire work...

o i forgot, put on tbody and put the battery back, hopefully i wont need an optima so i can move it...
